Shipping & Handling Policy
General Information
All shipping costs incurred when your order is sent are non-refundable.
Customers are responsible for return shipping fees unless otherwise stated.
If an order is refused on delivery or not collected from a carrier’s pickup depot, it will be treated as a return, and applicable return shipping charges will be deducted.
Shipping Methods
At Chez Mummum & Opa, we work with a range of reliable carriers to ensure timely delivery — including UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Canpar, Canada Post, and others.
Deliveries are typically made Monday through Friday. Weekend delivery is not standard; however, Saturday delivery may be arranged by contacting our Customer Care team in advance (additional fees may apply).
Processing and Shipping Times
Orders containing in-stock products are processed and shipped within approximately 4 to 6 business days (Monday–Friday).
During high-volume periods such as sales or holidays, processing may take longer. If a delay occurs, a member of our Customer Service team will contact you within 72 hours by email or phone to discuss options.
A shipping confirmation with tracking details will be sent once your order has left our facility.
Please note: Some orders may ship in multiple packages if items are fulfilled from more than one warehouse location.
Oversized or Special Shipping Fees
Certain large or bulky items (such as furniture, strollers, mattresses, or other heavy goods) require shipping calculations that may not appear at checkout.
In such cases, our Customer Care team will contact you with the accurate shipping quote before the order is finalized.
If additional costs arise or if shipping discrepancies occur, we will notify you promptly to confirm before processing.
Delivery Attempts
Our carriers will make one delivery attempt. If unsuccessful, a delivery notice will be left, and your package will be held at a nearby depot for 3–7 business days.
If the item is not collected within that time frame, it will be returned to us.
Should you wish to have it re-delivered, a new delivery fee will apply.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact customerservice@mumopa.ca within 48 hours of receiving it.
Any shipping or order discrepancies must be reported within 72 hours.
Be sure to include your order number, photos (if applicable), and a description of the issue so we can assist promptly.
Shipping Limitations
At this time, Chez Mummum & Opa ships within Canada only.
We are unable to ship furniture or restricted items to the United States. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Free Shipping Promotion
We’re pleased to offer Free Standard Shipping on online orders of $199 or more (before taxes).
Orders qualifying for free shipping are sent via standard delivery service.
Exclusions:
This offer does not apply to oversized or restricted items, including (but not limited to):
- Furniture (cribs, beds, dressers, nightstands, beanbags, and mattresses of all sizes)
- Bath tubs and diaper pails
- Clearance or discounted items
- Certain sale products as noted on individual product pages
Free shipping applies only to online orders placed through our website.
This promotion cannot be applied to previous purchases, and may be changed or cancelled without notice.
Chez Mummum & Opa reserves the right to decline or cancel orders that misuse this offer or are deemed ineligible.
Additional Shipping Charges
Shipping rates are calculated based on carrier zones and service areas.
If your address is outside standard delivery zones, additional fees may apply—even if your order qualified for free shipping.
Our team will always contact you before processing such adjustments.
This may apply to:
- Oversized shipments to rural or remote areas
- Deliveries to Northern provinces or territories
- Regions where carriers require manual rate calculations
We will make every effort to find the most cost-effective option available and inform you before proceeding.
Furniture Deliveries
All furniture deliveries are handled as curbside or first-threshold service, meaning items are dropped off at the first accessible area of your property.
Furniture cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
If you’d like to discuss upgraded delivery options, please contact customerservice@mumopa.ca.
Please inspect all furniture pieces upon arrival.
If damage is visible, sign for the delivery as “Damaged”, inform the driver, and contact our Customer Service team right away.
If a manufacturer defect is discovered, report it within two business days of delivery.
Include clear photos of the issue, a copy of your receipt or gift receipt, and key product details such as the model number, manufacture date, and product description.
Excluded Regions for Free Shipping
Free shipping applies to most Canadian addresses, but certain remote and northern postal zones are excluded.

Product Restrictions
Certain items cannot be shipped outside Canada due to regulatory and safety requirements.
These include:
- Car seats, furniture, and high chairs, or
- Any items requiring health or safety certification before import.
